Access Statement for Jeyes of Earls Barton

Introduction

At Jeyes of Earls Barton we try to provide access to all our visitors and are continually striving to improve our services. Due to the age and the layout of our Victorian cottage shops we are limited to offer complete disabled access.

We currently offer:-

Arrival & Parking Facilities

•  Designated disabled parking space outside the main entrance and further parking spaces on the village square.

•  We are opposite the local bus stop.

Main Entrance & Public areas

•  The main entrance and exit has two steps leading to the door. There is one handrail on the left hand-side of the entrance. On request we can provide a ramp and staff are trained and happy to help you.

•  Through the shop we have three steps up to the gift shop and a further two steps down to the coffee shop. There are hand-rails to provide guidance. The ramp can be moved to enable access to these points.

•  We have toilet and baby changing facilities located in the toilets by The Apothocoffee Shop.

•  There is a stair lift available to access The dolly lodge and museum which are located upstairs through the gift shop.

Additional Information

•  Service dogs are welcome. We provide a water bowl in the walled garden

•  We operate a no smoking policy throughout the shop.

•  Our staff have been trained to use equipment.

Our Future Plans

•  We have plans to improve the main entrance by building a permanent ramp structure.

•  We have plans to purchase more hand rails for the toilet and an alarm call system.

•  We are updating our website which will include accessible features, floor plans and pictures.
